Other People's Pictures

Busy week, and a busy weekend ahead (a trip to Massachusetts to see the Kamikaze Hearts (via bus!), a knotworking reunion again!, and a possible hootenanny Sunday night with Fernando!), but we promise to document it all fully.

But in the meantime, here are some pictures we were emailed this week from other people (Nicoletta from New Paltz, and Candice from the AP).

Larkfest!

Our lovely "Village Within the City" was taken over once again by 80,000 people. But before the crowds got too drunk to deal with, we took a wander to watch Laura play on the hometown stage.

Wendy helped our friend Mike run his Albany is Eggcellent booth.

We got sick of the drunks pretty quickly after Laura's set, so we went to the backyard, where Joe taught her the banjo.

Davoli and Melissa went on a wood/dinner finding mission, and the garbage was piled high on every corner.

We're on a record!

Laura Boggs is finally putting out an album! And we're on it!!!

Our friend Jared recorded the upcoming album in his parents' basement. Mike and Meg and Harith and Joe and Melissa all sang on the final song. Mike and Meg and Joe also added instrumentation on various songs by our Laura.

And Jared's mom made us peanut butter cookies, which delighted us more than they should have.

Fall weekend fun!

It's fall up here in Albany. The trees aren't turning yet, but the evenings require sweaters and a backyard fire seems perfect!

Friday night, the Kismet Gallery in Troy, where Melissa is a featured artist, held its grand opening.

Our friend Carol bought one of the plastic bags (yay!).

And Sunday we wandered the streets of Albany, to show Jason (our New Paltz buddy) the Empire State Plaza, which he dubbed, The Future.
