Everyone's your friend in New York City...

June 17, Melissa, Laura, Meg, Becca, Anne and Aracelis went to NYC for the Renegade Craft Fair.

Despite the rain and grey skies, we headed south early Saturday morning.

Meg, aka The Wild Mongoose, Laura, aka Bean Doggie, and Melissa, aka Red Clay, rode down in one car.

Becca, aka Silver Fox, spearheaded the second car, with Anne, aka Anita Bonita, and Aracelis, aka Dragonfly.

Anne knit on the train.

While we were in the fashion district, we had to take advantage of the fabric shops, and headed to Mood.

Melissa was very happy.

After lunch in Manhattan, we headed to Brooklyn, for the fair, where our friend Leah had the most amazing baby hats with octopuses! We bought t-shirts and yarns and pins and all sorts of earrings.

This is the view from the Crows Nest, where you can get 32 ounce Buds, served in Styrofoam.

Instead, we opted for Pete's Candy Store. Laura was sad, there was no candy. And Melissa ordered the worst drink ever.

We were fascinated by this car.

While waiting for a table at Sea Thai, we watched the boys next door play soccer. The US and Italy had tied.

Then the girls relaxed on a swing.

Tom and all the pretty ladies!

Look at the pretty Thai food!

Dragonfly and Silver Fox.

Red Clay and Bean Doggie.

The Megs.

Anne and Tom.

We caught the sunset while waiting to catch the train back home. A good time was had by all.
